About Parenting Family
Parenting Family is a range of services created by Parenting Focus, that employers can purchase to support their parent employees. Resources included in this package include the Employee Wellbeing seminars, Parenting Family Hub, OCN Training for Employers and Employer-focused Support Services.
Employee Wellbeing Seminars
Parenting Focus can deliver a range of 28 needs-led Employee Wellbeing Seminars to parent employees in your organisation.
Facilitated by a professional practitioner these one hour sessions can accommodate up to 30 participants in-person or 100 participants online.
Parenting Family Hub
The Parenting Family Hub provides immediate and uninterrupted access to a wide range of information, written and developed with, and for parents. With easily navigated content, the hub is structured around six key topics which work seamlessly together to support those in a parenting role.
Available 24/7, the Parenting Family hub has been designed with parent employees in mind, presenting our material in a wide range of styles to suit each individual’s learning style. The hub can be accessed from any location, meaning the support will be available for those who need it, even if time is limited.
OCN Training for Employers
Parenting Focus is an OCN Accredited Centre delivering across Levels 1-4 in
workforce development. As an accredited centre, we can source and deliver a wide range of OCN qualifications through OCN Northern Ireland, tailored to employer requirements. Delivery options are flexible, ranging from 6 weeks to 6-8 months for full qualifications, or shorter intensive sessions for Levels 1 and 2. This option allows employers to enhance staff development and provide meaningful training opportunities.
Employer-focused Support Services
We offer tailored sessions for managers, such as Engaging More Effectively with Employees or Managing Difficult Conversations. Additionally, we can now provide an Employee Survey of Needs Service, which includes: Direct consultations (via focus groups or online surveys). Outcome reports with insights for employers to address employee concerns and identify future support needs. Broader insights into issues such as childcare or education, which can inform policy recommendations shared with government departments.

Parenting Family is a social enterprise on a mission to amplify social impact while reinvesting resources into the very heart of our cause: supporting and empowering parents. By driving positive change in our communities and directing funds back into parenting-focused initiatives, we create a ripple effect of support and growth for families within Northern Ireland.

Through services like our free Support Line and parenting programmes, we provide guidance and support, empowering parents throughout their unique parenting journeys.
